The “Children Home” is a major running program of FRESH NEPAL. It is the heart of our organization and the project with which everything began in 2006. Our home is located in the quiet and safe neighborhood of Talchikhel, Lalitpur in the Kathmandu Valley.
We are very happy that we’ve found this lovely home as it is ideal for a children’s home as it has many amenities which are rare to find in Kathmandu. It has enough rooms on three stories to accommodate all children, a living/music/reading room, a dining room, and a spacious kitchen. It also has a basketball court/football field, a canopied table tennis area, enough space for the children to play all sorts of outdoor games and a roof top terrace with a nice view over Kathmandu.
And on top of all this it is in walking distance to a renown private English speaking school where all our children study. For many years it has now been a safe and comfortable home for our children where they feel free to be themselves and grow into confident, independent and responsible adults. At the moment we have 19 children living full time in our home.
